i have a computer with a virus. it screw up my comp. the cd rom wont work on it so i cant format the hard drive. would it be possible for me to take the hard drive with the virus out and take out the hard drive from my other working computer and put the virus hard drive on the working comp and format the drive there. then put the formated hard drive back on the other comp. is that possible? would that screw up my working computer too?

There is no saying in what it could do. Rouge software is often unpredictable. Do you have a floppy drive? If so and if you have a blank floppy, you can make a KillDisk too format your hard drive.

yes my computer that has a virus does have a floppy drive. how does killdisk work?

You cannot take a hard drive with an OS already installed on it and place it into another computer as your C: drive and expect it to work

But...you can take an infected hard drive...attach it as a secondary drive to a non-infected, well-protected-from-malware system...and format it.
