Hey,

Well, I'm trying to get Eclipse working. I've so far downloaded JDK 6 Update 16 and ran .exe file. I then downloaded Eclipse and attempted to run it. I keep getting the message, "A Java Runtime Environment(JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available to run Eclipse. No Java Virtual machine was found after searching the following locations: C:\Program Files(x86)\eclipse\jre\bin\javaw.exe"

I've tried changing the classpath and path environmental variables to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_16\bin" and I've also tried adding -vm C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_16\bin to the end of the properties when I right click the shortcut. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks a lot.

what is "Eclipse" ... it may sound stupid, but it IS a good question :D
if you have a link to a Wikipedia page, or a product page, that'll help us discern what the product is supposed to do.

Because when you say you can't get eclipse to work, I wonder how your trying to move the moon to move into the shadow of the sun.

http://www.eclipse.org/

It's an IDE that I normally use for Java, however, doesn't seem to be working for me this time around :'(

I have to admit I'm at a loss ... I've been pondering this for 10 days ... and I'm sorry I can't help.
I'm still not 100% sure what it does exactly to be honest. *LOL*
