windows updates validation failure

does anybody know how to get around the validation failure message when trying to update windows xp?

Hi can you supply more info please, is your copy of windows genuine or not?

Now installed Microsoft Security Essencials on my Tower with Windows Home Premium 32bit and Toshiba Satellite Pro Laptop with Windows Home Premium 64bit

If you cannot get automatic validation using the windows update site and If you have a legitimate copy of Windows XP call Microsoft support and they will manually validate your license.
