Help
it stops at startup page and goes straight to the menu where they ask if i would like to st:art via the means of safe mode. When i click last good config it gives a blue screen that says: STOP: 0x0000007E (0x80000003, 0x805c370c, 0xF795F26C, 0xF795EF68) on a blue screen. Please help me out because i have a paper due very soon and all of my research and works so far are on this computer. It is very important. Also when i use safemode it goes directly to a black screen where a constant bombardment of question marks arise in a matrix style pattern.

okay so basically i did some research and it told me that its because of like some unassigned drivers or not enough disk space? i'm extremely confused because i'm not that advanced in computers to know how to fix this. Can someone please help me out! i need to fix this or it's going to be extremley difficult for me to pass my next college class..

no i cannot, once i do it it goes straight to a black screen with constant questions marks come up.

not a good sign, do you have your windows cd handy, if you do id boot to the recovery console and do a checkdisk, just in case you have a corrupted driver.

my laptop but thtas bout it. also i found my windows XP cd, i put it in but dont noe how to load it or something.

put the cd in the drive and when your pc starts try to watch for a hit xxx key to choose boot device or boot menu. Then it will try to boot of the cd )it will say press anykey to boot from cd), then you will eventually get a menu where one of the options is boot to recovery console.
(at worst you will have to go into the bios, change the boot device priority and change sata access mode to legacy/compatability mode)

also with the blue screen does it mention a file (like win32k.sys or something like that)

did you manage to boot from the cd to do a checkdisk, if that fails we can try a manual system restore

i booted to cd, but when i booted it said something like incorrect floppy disk or something. btw will the manual system restore delete my data thats already on my computer.
