Staying Updated Calendar of Updates.
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....

If your system is functioning properly, I suggest leaving those drivers at peace.

It could be a dialup modem or something else which may be utterless pointless to install a driver for. Items like the dialup modem should be disabled in the BIOS so that they don't even wind up being reflected in Device Manager...unless the user is still on dialup (in which case, the drivers need to be installed).

Ethernet Controller
Multimedia Controller
PCI Device - Have driver for this one
PCI Modem - Have driver for this one
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller - Have driver for this one
Unknown Device (ACPI\AWY0001\2&DABA3FF&0) Been to intel can't find driver.
One of those must be the TV Tuner Card (I hope)
The above is all I know, I ran a scan from a trial version program to tell me the below information if any of that is of any use for someone to help me. I need the ethernet port working so I can get the net going for updates, the internet modem is ethernet only.
If you need details of my PC you can download them here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VFD9ZXJ7
I ran a scan and saved a report from a trial version.

if theirs no support or some thing then just tell us if its a externel card(pci/pci e) or its built in card
if its built in then tell us your mother board model
to find out open the computer and the model number should be under the cpu or near the agp or pci e ports (you can do it with software but i think this is a better idea)

Right click on the device with the ? and select Properties, then click on the Details tab, then on Hardware ID in the drop-down box.You should see a hardware ID that looks like this: "PCI\VEN_4444&DEV_0016&SUBSYS_40090070&REV_01"
The 4 characters after the first _ are the Vendor ID and the 4 characters after the second _ are the Device ID. Go to this website
http://www.pcidatabase.com/
and enter the Vendor ID and the Device ID and it will tell you what the device is. Then you can do an internet search for the drivers you need.
why won't my laptop work?
Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
Do not send me PMs with problems that should be posted in the forums. Keep it in the forums, so everyone benefits

ACPI\AWY0001\2&DABA3FF&0
There's 2 codes on the actual motherboard:
M/B MBS590900164300316EK01 & 04EF64301101 PC 965M03A1-G-8EKS2H
TV TUNER CARD HAS THIS CODE: "MAC 000DFE 0D2256" & A STICKER WITH "4806"
I NEED DRIVERS FOR THESE:
Ethernet Controller - BUILT IN MOTHERBARD
Multimedia Controller - MUST BE BUILT IN MOTHERBOARD
PCI Simple Communications Controller - MUST BE BUILT IN MOTHERBOARD
UNKNOWN DEVICE - ACPI\AWY0001\2&DABA3FF&0

The unknown Device can't do anything about and the same with the multimedia controller unless you want to pay the $400, I'm not prepared to pay out that much.
