I am seriously having a problem with my laptop. I recently got hooked up on a 3G wireless internet..supposed to be faster than dialup but I've had nothing but problems. I'm not sure if this was onthe computer before i bought it used from a friend, but anytimeI go online and attempt to go to a webpage it's redirected. I've used spybot and avg virus scanner and they cleaned a bunch of things but now they don't find anything. I've tried scanning using housecall and it found a couple of things too, and cleaned it, but now it doesn't find anything else and any time i try to find another antivirus scanner online I get a half a dozen "suggested popups". One that is common says media2 something.. and other sites have been stopzilla and all sorts of other recommendations. My laptop is so slow starting up and loading programs it's almost not even worth trying to use! please help me. I can't do any more scans because my computer just won't let me. I tried downloading Ad-aware, but it starts up and then just disappears and won't runat all.
Here is my hijackthis log, I hope I don't haveto try and run anything else becauseI'm not sure i can even get back to the site without help!

I hope someone can help me!

I have a feeling you should be posted in the, "Security Forum" for BC, . . I'm surprised that no one has moved you, . . until they do what browser are you using ?

Do you have a firewall ?

Have you checked MSconfig to see what is running on your machine ?

Now that your log is properly posted, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show it the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the HJT Team members are very busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic.
