I renamed photos and dragged them into two new folders, which I had named, and now I cant find them anywhere, Have
used the search option and used the names which I know I named them but no luck. I have an empty unnamed folder, which was created about the time I was moving them around. I think I remember seeing something about hidden files...this is my last hope...any suggestions? Thanks

Hidden files are generally system files, not files created by any user: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows/.
You can do a search for all graphics on the system, using the Start/Search function and designating *.jpg (or whatever file extension your graphics are) as the search string.
Results will reflect the file path/location for each file found during the search.
