Search Feature - PDFA

Hi,

I currently use a HTML page as a contents page, it contains links to PDF’s kept on the shared drive in my business. Is their a way to add a search feature to search for the PDF name?

Just to make it easier to find them rather than looking through all the pages?

Sure. What language are you sing on the server side? You can't do it with just HRML or Javascript.

Not sure really, i started from a template and edited it all using Kompozer.

The files are located on a shared drive, its not a website that will actually go online.... its just an easier contents page to access documents.

You could do it in any number of languages then. PHP, ASP, and Java come to mind, but there are many other languages. PHP probably has more easy to find tutorials, but really, any language can be used as long as it has the ability to generate web pages.

Im still learning, do you know any easy tutorials?

It simply as to search for the PDF name and bring up the results?

No, because you still have not told me what server side language you intend to use. Once you determine what language you want to use, then you can simply search for tutorials, in that language, to find examples of how to get file names in a directory.
