i bought this computer from someone i do not know. it is running vista ultimate. i deleted the previous owner's profile(i'm dumb!) and i cannot open the profile i created or retrieve any documents i create and a host of other issues. i obviously did not do this correctly.
-i do not have a OS disk and there are no restore points. do i need to go buy another OS copy?
i have also thought about getting Linux. i want to have windows on here too. as i understand it, in order to be able to have both OS run on the machine; i must have installed windows first which leads me to my second question
-is this true and if i need to buy another copy of windows; should i just wait for windows 7 to be released before doing any of this
thirdly and lastly, if i going to do this i am going to need to partition my hard drive. i had found an ongoing post on utilities that i have since been unable to find again
-might someone let me know where this post is of it still exists?!
thank you for your help, and thank you for the site!!!!
