Everything too big after reinstalling Vista

Dell PC (Inspiron 530). Reinstalled Vista. Icons and text very big on desktop. In addition when opening webpages or documents, everything is too large - webpages don't fit on the page. If I press Ctrl and scroll with the mouse the text gets smaller and out of focus but the size of the page is still too big for the monitor it seems. Sorry if this is pretty vague. Before the computer crash (hence the need to reinstall) size of webpage etc was no problem at all. Many thanks for your help.

Hi Doccon




Try right clicking on a blank portion of your desktop and choose Personalise. At the bottom of the page, click on Display Settings and choose the highest available. See how that looks and adjust again if necessary.

Also, Hold down the WINLOGO key and press PAUSE/BREAK. This will bring up System Properties. Click on DEVICE MANAGER and the + beside Display Adapters. Right click on your Video Card and choose UPDATE DRIVER.
