. . .
It responds after starting to the selection page where it says to start normally etc. I tried both the safe mode and the Normal mode,. . the Windows XP screen appears then a Blue Screen;
STOP: c0000218{Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\Systems Root\Sustems32\Config\SYSTEM
or it is corrupt, absent or Not Writable.
Beginning dump of physical memory dump complete.
Contact your system administrator, etc.
I have two disc for dell PC's but they were originally for a Dell Lap Top;
Operating System Reinstalling MS WXP HE Including SP1 - DELL
Drives, Utilities, and Applications For Reinstalling DELL Inspiron 8200 System Software
Not sure if they will help
I also Have a Windows Quick Restore set for My Compaq, and a Windows XP SP2 Upgrade.
Is there a way I can get this thing started, to find out if there is a chance I can restore,
to an earlier date,
or do a restore from the previous installation ?

The file Sbp2port.sys is corrupted, . .
in any case I have read very little on this it they seem to advise not to do anything if your PC has an OEM restore program, etc. is there a way to find out what this has ? or access the machine in some way? I am not optimistic about that, but a suggestion out there may help
I have no manuals and no disc at this time.
What do you mean, "down from DELL. or are you speaking of this model at Dell etc. ?

Is it possible to supply a more specific Dell model number?

does Reset Configuration Data {Disabled} have any thing to do with this, I tried to test the HD from F12 Key, but it returned me to the BSOD

What exactly does that mean ?
Will I have to type anything, or use arrows ?
I am not sure I can get the mouse up and working yet .

When the date/time are inaccurate, it's usually an indication that the CMOS battery needs to be replaced.

Has that caused the reason for the time message ?
If I could set the time manually it may indicate that that is not the problem afterwards, . . I do not know how to set that on this DELL Dimension 2350
I will get back to Dell today and find out about reinstalling the system etc.
I may be able to speak with them on this subject.
Thank you.

however in the int-rum, I discovered that one option he gave was that I could erase the HD,
and reinstall with the mere basic disc I have, it is a Operating System
Re installation CD Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Including Service Pack 1
I don't think this will install drivers and programs, correct if not can these be downloaded from Internet Sources ?
