Necessity/How to download Spyware blasters? Spyware used on a Mac??

Do we need to download a Spyware blaster on our e-mac, and since we already tried it and the message was the "Internet Explorer can't find/open what we just downloaded.

As far as I know there are no known spyware/malware issues with Mac OS X.
