Allo all chatters and chatees!

I have noticed that in several forum categories, topics are given a "folder" icon in the furthermost left column beside their topic.

I was just wondering: what do they mean? There seems to be a variety of these icons, and I cannot help but think that they are a classification of some kind.

This curiosity stems from the fact that my first, (and still pending) post in another section of the forum has a folder icon that is lighter blue, with a backwards "L" shape on the bottom right corner of the folder. Does this mean something important? What do the other icons mean? Why is mine different?

I really don't mean to sound panicky - I'm actually also curious about the red, purple, and other folder icons icons.

I think that if the site...um...technicians gave the icons names (that appear when mice hover over the icon), I wouldn't need to ask. Hehe. I really don't mind asking, and I hope this won't stir up too much trouble - this is a curiosity that I'd rather not let kill the cat.

Thanks!

Curious and patient,

Joga!

On a forum page, such as this one http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum5.html
scroll down to the bottom of the page. There you will see an explanation of the various icons.

The backwards 'L' you refer to, means that you have posted to that topic.

I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

I suppose you're expecting extra points for the decorative edge on the pic??

its all clear to me now!

So the decorative "L" simply means I own it? Wonderful! I should probably start writing this on the things I own in real life!

Hey - I didn't even know there WERE points. But if points are I get for being uninformed, its a BONUS :D

Own? Nah. That only means you have participated in it. Everything here is owned by a middle-aged gerbil named Mr. Squeaky who lives in Grinler's garage. For tax reasons, you see.
