Hello. I came by way of the windows xp newsgroups. Being somewhat new to this vast hoard of information, this site is very helpful smile.gif , specifically with the freeware security tutorials, which at times, I know little about.

as everyone else,i had been having a rash of spy/ad/ ware problems so i began surfing the net looking for the answers to the questions i had found.i just happened across the forum on the tutorials and was hooked. informative and easy to follow, and written for folks with little to no formal computer training.i have a friend who is an i.t. professional and he is very helpful and knowlegable. but not always available,so i started to do my own studys on spy/adware removal,virus/worm/bug removal and, protection.i am glad that you folks are there for folks like us. thanks again, lennyh.

Google search on shellexec.exe (a Trojan W32.Rbot-ANC). cold.gif
I'm still getting the hang of HijackThis but I think ShellExec is gone.
