I need to replace a fried processor in a T3265 emachines desktop.
Can someone tell me if a processor I found is compatible?
CURRENT PROCESSOR
AMD Athlon™ XP 3200+ Processor
QuantiSpeed™ Architecture operates at 2.200GHz
512KB L2 Cache & 400MHz FSB
Socket A 462 PIN
(Here is a link to more info on the existing setup if needed: http://www.emachines.com/support/product_s...amp;model=T3265 )
NEW PROCESSOR
AMD ATHLON XP 2800
BARTON CORE SOCKET A 462 PIN 2.083GHz
333 FSB 512 L2 KB
Obviously the socket/pin count is the same, and the operating speeds are pretty close, but beyond that I'm in the dark.
Thanks in advance!
