Shortcuts keep disappearing Movie Maker shortcut vanishes into thin air!

I have to keep putting my Movie Maker shortcut on the desktop over and over again.

I have to go to the Program folder to find it, make a shortcut, and place it on the desktop. This is all
fine and well, but it only stays there for a few days before it mysteriously dissapears into thin air! And I
haven't have a clue as to why!

This also happens to a Photoshop shortcut.
