Hello, I just downloaded Spyware Doctor, the free Starter Edition, And now, every time I try to start it, it says " The malware removal databases for Spyware Doctor have not been installed and must be downloaded before the product can be used. Please run Smart Update to download the malware removal database now." The first time, it downloaded them from PC Tools,, but failed to load them into the product, and asked me to try again. Now every time afterwards when I run smart update it says " Your product is up-to-date! Please click "Finish" to close Smart Update" but it still says it needs to be updated. *** in PC Tools crap.

EDIT~ Omitted Profanity

Download and install Revo Uninstaller
After installation, use it to uninstall Spyware Doctor.
You'll be presented with 4 options: Choose Advanced mode.
This will search for leftover files and registry keys that may linger. Revo Uninstaller is more thorough than the Windows uninstaller, which may leave these leftovers on your system.
Follow the prompts.

After the uninstall, reinstall Spyware Doctor to see if that solves the problem.

Okay... Its running... I deleted the bolded items, and I'll now restart, uninstall Revo, and then install Spyware doctor again.

Alright, its installed, everything is working fine, but the problems always happen after a reboot, so I'm gonna go ahead and restart it.
