Protecting PC from virus How to protect pc from viruses and malwares

Respected Sir,I had sometime before hijack.regedit virus problem,i had post request to solve this problem here also but due to some delay i finally formatted my pc and recovered my system using one touch recovery.Now i had installed xp again and install avira anti-virus and anti-malware bytes also on pc for anti0viurs protection and comodo firewall.Is there any other thing i should do to protect my pc from viruses..
