BleepingComputer.com: Router connects to latop, not desktop

Hi everyone
I have a really annoying computer problem on my hands
I have a Linksys router that used to connect to both my desktop XP computer and my laptop (vista)
Recently, neither computer could connect to the internet
so I unplugged the router, turned both computers off for a while and basically did everything to refresh the conneciton
The next day my laptop was able to connect to the internet but my desktop wasn't and is still unable to
I'm assuming there must be something wrong with the desktop settings, but I'm not sure how to fix it
Please help before my laptop loses its connection too!

Hey, yes sorry that's the computer.
I posted that problem on a lot of computer help blogs a long time ago and didn't remember that I had it on here so I never replied, my apologies
That problem has been fixed though, now its just the case of not being able to connect to the internet

Have you tried setting the connection up anew...using the Network/Internet Connection Wizard in XP?

Have you checked Device Manager to see if you might need to install drivers for the connection device?

Is this wireless or wired?
