The Shortcut to Powerpoint somehow got separated from the Microsoft Office Suite subfolder on the Start Menu and has now taken up residence on the desktop. How do I corral it to get it back in it's pen with Word, Excel, etc.?

Simply drag it back in there - you have to hover over the start button, then over program files > then each folder in turn, waiting for them to open until you get to the right place, then drop it.
