Hello again to all you Gurus,
I know that this machine is very basic but I only use it for OE and IE.
Dell Vostro 200 Home Basic, I GB Ram, AMD Processor 1.6.
I have defragged and done disc clean up with no difference. A 4 minute video on YouTube takes about 10 minutes to watch as it stops every few seconds. Until recently this has never happened.
Between midnight and 1 am GMT everything hangs. I closed all open programmes and just had open a card game and that was vertually impossible to play - the cards would hang in mid air.
I have run MalWarebytes, CCleaner, ATM, SuperAntiSpyware and AdAware - nothing found.
I did a search and came up with gspedit.msc but this is not available for the basic machine.
As usual, I would appreciate any help that you can give me,
George.

Why are you on the computer at midnight/1 in the morning anyway? I would suggest higher RAM Amounts, and a fresh install of Vista, with new Wireless drivers.

As I only use it for the Internet I do not think that the extra RAM [although handy] is needed. When I first started having the problem I had Vista re installed to rid the machine of anything unwanted.
The only things I run on it are:- Windows Mail, Outlet Express, Yahoo Messenger and Windows Messenger.

You might still have a virus. At certain times viruses sometimes update causing your internet to be nearly useless. Try downloading hijackthis.
Run the program and post the log in the appropriate forum and ask for help.
