Using a similarly sarcastic tone, blogger Veggiedude sees "VISTA" as an acronym for "the top five Windows problems: viruses, infections, spyware, trojans and adware," he wrote.

The preceding comment was taken from a CNET News article - Windows Vista draws jokes, scorn, approval

 :flowers: Now that is straight up funny!

I myself do not much care what it is named. Vista, smista, whatever. :trumpet:

I will say, that I thought Longhorn, was just plain dumb! IMHO

update Longhorn--now Windows Vista--may be arriving more slowly than expected and it might not have everything that was once planned, but Windows chief Jim Allchin maintains "It's a big deal."

wtf?

Sorry but I'm just amused that Longhorn is renamed to Vista. Someone on StumbleUpon said when you translate "Vista" from portuguesse you get "Sight". :flowers: Looks like you'll be blind without it.

Also I read that for short it'll be called: WinVi
:hysertical:

About KY latest comment: I think they should wait and do there best on it so it will actually be worth something.

when will computers not run windows... but thats in another dimension... "WinVi", supposedly, has no freakin security what so ever. if i were to remember the sources i would direct you to them via hotlinks. looks like the top five probs just got bigger for "WinVi." I cant wait till the articles of tech support for it start popping up.

When will computers not run windows? I think that would take a revolution. hehe

As for a lack of security.. what difference?? I don't use my windows firewall now.. all of the security I have on my puter is definitely not from windows anyhow. lol

I do wish I knew more about Vista tho.. I am very curious about it. *wishes I had a spare computer*

I really hope that the 64-bit version has close to as many drivers as the 32 bit XP does. Lack of drivers is the only thing that has kept me from upgrading to 64...

Everytime Microsoft comes out with a new OS, I always get excited, I tell myself that maybe this time the richest company in the world will have got it right. Doesn't happen

In all fairness, I do like the stability that I have with XP over ME.

ME was a nightmare in OS form. We called it "Wintendo" I got it for free from Microsoft for being in their partner program where I worked at the time.... installed it for a few days, then uninstalled it for Win98.

I Beleive Windows NT Has Been The Most Stable System That I Have Used To This Date. Even Though NT Can Be A Nightmare To Administrate, It's Good Performance Backed It Up. It Can Beat Windows ME Anyday.
