Potential problems disabling video card on Vista laptop? No hardware profiles on Vista, arg

Greetings all.

I want to disable my video card temporarily on my Asus M50vm-B1 laptop to test something. I just want to be sure beforehand that I can boot Vista with the card disabled.

To immediately answer the direct question, yes.
If you experience troubles getting back into Normal mode with video, boot to VGA mode (hit f8 on startup) to re-enable the card.
