This one has me stumped. I have done all of the obvious things like try all the USB ports, try another mouse, I even tried a system restore. I had to do the system restore in safe mode to actually work, not sure why. When I tried the other mouse it worked for about a half a second. Strange. If anyone has any ideas feel free to share.

Look in Your Device Manager and click on the +'s by the root hub controllers. Are there any yellow exclamation points by any of them?

Now it won't let me open the device manager. It gives mr an error that says, "MMC could not create the snap in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly. WTF?
