My son has a PC game, Battlefield II, that he is experiencing some loading issues. There seems to be an incompatability between his video driver card and the game. He has a Sony VAIO computer with an ATI Radeon 9200 PCI video card. After downloading the game and trying to open it, the game crashes to the desktop after a full black screen. My question is whether it is possible to update this ATI driver so the game functions properly or is another ATI video card required? If another card is necessary for the game to function, can this driver be downloaded from online or purchased separately and installed in the computer? Any help would be appreciated.

The latest drivers for ati cards can be found here:

http://www.guru3d.com

Note most of these drivers are not always supported by the manufacturer but are in fact beta drivers. There is a good chance that the game will not run that well using that type of video card unfortunately.
