Good question. I used to think that there should be an inherent performance advantage to a PCI card adapter over a USB one. But lately I have seen several USB ones which performed very well and besides, with one on a USB cord you can position the antenae better compared to the card one which will be in the back flush up against a wall probably.
Cost wise PCI probably wins but I wonder how much. I wouldn't hesitate to get a USB one for my computer if it were USB 2.0 and comparably priced with the PCI. |

i was thinking the same thing. I have a wireless g network and the usb version is only about 15 dollars more (a small price to pay for the convenience and not risking compatability issues with my other pci cards). Plus, I want to save my pci slots for
things that only come in pci form, like video cards. Thanks for the second opinion and now there is no question in my mind that a usb will do me just fine. -------------------- "To do less than your best is to sacrifice the gift." Steve Prefontaine
