I tried to do a print screen on my iMac yesterday and tried hitting a few keys because I thought I remembered how to do it. But nothing I did worked so I finally just had to look it up. After I did all that, I noticed a clear box with a black outline cropped up on my screen. It moves around to different places on the screen and I can't click on it or do anything to remove it. I've tried restarting and shutting down my computer but that did nothing. It's extremely annoying and nothing I seem to try works.

This seems to be my exact problem, however I followed the steps in the link and was unable to remove the black rectangle. Is there an alternate solution I can try or do I just have to wait until Apple fixes the glitch?

Thanks for your help!

Which version OSX does your Mac have?
If you create a new account and log into it, does it show up there?

I tried this solution again after a few days, and it suddenly decided to work! No more black box. Thank you so much for your help!
