No, man. It's not a BSOD. I"m a 98 veteran. Trust me... I've seen plenty of those.

It's my BIOS screen.

(Edit)

I just remember something. It sounded like my processor speed was slower after that BIOS message.

I'm at work again. I think I may just throw it out the window. LOL

I'll try and duplicate it tonight and post what it says.

It's been a few days and I'm finally off work so I can fight with this thing and not be interrupted for a couple of days.

I've ran chkdsk multiple times. It keeps "finding one or more errors and repairing them".

Should I continue to do this or should I move on to the next thing to try?

Or, should I just throw it out the window? LOL

All right. I had to run Windows Installation - Repair option to finally fix the problem. I'm typing this message on the computer that had the issue, so hopefully it'll be all good.

Thank you all for your help.

Pleased to know that the problem was resolved and thank you for posting with the final solution. A repair install was probably the best option to choose given the limited information we had to work with as to the file(s) detected as corrupt by AVG.

GabrielWithoutWings

I wonder if you could do me a favour please ...

Check AVG scan results to see if you can find out what was removed by AVG that caused your problem (open AVG user interface -> menu History -> Scan results).
OR perhaps you might even find the evidence in the Virus Vault?

TIA
