So here's what happened...

My computer could ping google, but not pull up any web pages. Turns out it was Norton 360. So I got rid of that and now I can pull up web pages. BUT, on both google search and yahoo search, I get a Syntax Error "Problems with this web page might prevent it from being displayed properly..." "Line 2 Char 1 Error Syntax Error", and I get a blank white page.

So, I opened Safari and tried a search, and again a blank white page. The same thing occurs in Firefox. If I type in www.google.com it comes up fine, same with yahoo. The problem occurs when I try to do a search from either of these sites.
It also occurs when I run IE7 with no add-ons. I also tried to reinstall IE7 and got the same symptoms. I also ran the Norton Uninstaller.

XP Home SP3, IE7, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4.0.2

Any ideas?
