I was updating to the newest version of Nero, and after installing it rebooted automatically. It booted to the logo screen then gave me a bunch of errors about system files being corrupted and before I new it the blue screen hit me.
I can boot to my other harddrive which is running Windows 7 and everything works fine. I've scanned my C drive for viruses, I came up with a few infections but nothing major. HijackThis log looked fairly clean. I didn't have any restore points though, I've stopped different services, I can boot into safe mode, so I know it something, but for the life of me I can't figure out what. I also uninstalled Nero.

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Nevermind, fixed the problem after reading my dump file. Turns out it was one of my krnl.exe files. Simple Windows Repair Disc fixed the solution. Phew.
