Hi!

I have a hp pavilion 754.no pc. Sometimes it just restart itself.

At the event log it says this:

0000009c, parameter1 00000001, parameter2 8054e0f0, parameter3 b6000000, parameter4 00000181.

Can anyone read this and tell whats wrong or what i can do to solve it? Is this the reason why it restart it self?

Thanx for any help!!

0x0000009C: MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
This is a hardware issue: an unrecoverable hardware error has occurred. The parameters have different meanings depending on what type of CPU you have but, while diagnostic, rarely lead to a clear solution. Most commonly it results from overheating, from failed hardware (RAM, CPU, hardware bus, power supply, etc.), or from pushing hardware beyond its capabilities (e.g., overclocking a CPU).

I would start with running a check of the hard drive...if that checks out OK, then a check of the RAM installed.

If you have any .dmp files generated by the errors, you might review such (following the procedures at): Help Diagnosing BSODs And Crashes (BC) - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic176011.html

You might also review all info on your system, paying particular attention to data on how to troubleshoot/overcome problems.
