How do I hide drives?

As you can see, I have drives F G H I J K P without anything in them.

How do I make it so that it will not show those drives if they dont have anything plugged in them?

For example:

Drive G contains nothing in it. I would like it to be hidden from explorer, until I plug something into it, and then it will hide if I remove that thing from it.

You can't, unless you know how to programatically hook into the Windows API and alter the file explorer.

I don't think it's possible to conditionally hide the drives, such as when nothing is plugged in. This is generally automatically done with certain devices such as USB flash drives.

Something you could do right-click in the middle area of the My Computer pane, then arrange your drives by size. This will organize your drives with data on them to the top, leaving the empty drives at the bottom of the list.
