Hello everyone huh.gif

Who can ever forget about the terrorist's attack on our country on this day 3 years ago? Please take a moment today to remember. Where were you that morning? I was on my way out the door. I was going shopping and I was going to meet my Mom for lunch at her work. We were going to celebrate her birthday that day. As soon as my kids got on the bus it began to run on the news. I just couldn't believe it. When I could tear myself away from the TV I did my shopping and went to see my Mom at work. Everyone there was glued to the TV of course. I hugged my mom and wished her a Happy Birthday.

Thank you very much Pandy, for remembrance.

I was at work, and my wife called telling me to turn on the TV. I could not believe how many people just sat there-watching what happened. We started shortly after the 1st one went in the building. When the 2nd one went in, we knew it was no accident. Many of the people in the office, had friends and relitives that lived there. Thankfully no one they knew was anywhere near the towers, but it made all of us go home that night, and give our loved ones an extra special hug. Not only to tell them that we care, and love them, but to show our appreciation that they are a part of our lives.

Living in new york city at the time, and only about 10 blocks from the towers, it brings back some painful memories. More important is that we do not forget the friends and loved ones we lost on that day

Thanks Jason~ Thank-you Grinler for your replies. It is hard to remember but I am of the opinion that we shouldn't forget. Thank-you both for sharing.

Nor should we, all of us, forget the shock and outrage that something like this could happen. Nor should we forget the heroism of ordinary people on that infamous day that changed the world as we live it.
That day, on which America sat stunned before their televisions, is still painful to remember.

Regards to all,
John

When I viewed the coverage of the Towers being hit, I was in complete shock. I had to go in to work. Even being so far away from New York and having no family or friends there I felt numb all day. I live in a sprawling suburb of a major city. Chaos ensued. Everyone was crazed. The panic in the air was deafining. Traffic was awful. Everyone was trying to fill thier tanks for fear of price gouging. I heard bits and pieces all day. It was so frightening. We are so fortunate to live in the greatest and most powerful country in the world. And I have to confess that I never thought that anything like this would ever happen. We must remember 911. I shudder to think what would happen lest we ever forget. As scary as it was, I think it made us stronger.
