1.Localization Tweaking - I would recommend everyone to give this localization file a try. You will then be given additional text info about score as well as other useful info highlighted when playing BF2142. These files are not scanned by Punkbuster and will not get you kicked for modified content. Only you can see these changes as they are completely client side. To Install - Just place the strings.csv in" C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\bf2142\Localization\" directory, after making a backup of the original localization Folder
bf2 wasnt working well, tried to undo those things without success so un-installed bf2, re-installed but it wouldnt run. Un-installed again, ran ccleaner to clean it up, followed manual un-install instructions from ea to get all files out of the registry and now I cant install bf2. Also did a system restore still no luck.
Put in the dvd, click install. It starts installing but doesnt ask for the cd keys and when it tries to install the booster packs it says it cannot find the bf2 install folder.
I have bf2 complete collection and was patched up to 1.5 and running ok.
Everything else still works fine and I installed a card game from a cd to make sure I could still install programs.
Totally lost here. Hope I put in enough info.
