Hi, Wise Computer People!

I am having major problems with my Windows computer. The most annoying are as follows:

1) Computer freezes/crashes when I use Windows Media Player. CTRL-ALT-DEL has no effect on frozen status. Have deleted and reinstalled WMP today-no change to problem.

2) When I start computer, there are lots of pretty colored bars dancing around on screen.

3) Numerous TWAIN errors when using scanner.

4) nv4_disp.dll message frequently appears after rebooting computer after WMP freeze.

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {ACB1E670-3217-45C4-A021-6B829A8A27CB} - (no file)
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode. These items that I had you fix will probably not solve your problems though. I would suggest that you download and install the latest driver for your nvidia card and see if that helps
