Login Error after reinstalling Windows XP Home

I just had to reinstall Windows XP Home. After installation, it doesn't let me log in, instead it gives me the following error message "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted." It does this whether I leave the password box blank or not. I have started it up in safe mode, and the same thing occurs both with my account and the administrator account.
