BleepingComputer.com: Help me spend $700

Well I have $700 to spend on a new PC. This is what i will be doing with it. Burning & storing HD Blu-Ray movies & Sd movies. Running my Cam/Cad software MasterCam & SolidWorks. Mostly 2D drawings and surfaces. I might play some games with it but I have two PS3's & a Wii so I might not like the look of a PC game.. Below are some that I have looked at. Can someone here send me links for there recommendations or if you would build one for me? I am lost with all of the Dual & Quad Core stuff and the GHZ. Do I need more GHZ then 2.8? What about power supply. Do i really need 1500 watts?

FWIW: IMO, Ebay is not the place to look...when the intent is to buy a new system.

Especially so when there is no merchant feedback or basis upon which one might evaluate warranty, seller's reputation/reliability, etc.

If you want to game at all, it's probably best to build one, IMO.

Actually, I think it's best to build one, in your case, because I think it highly unlikely that you will find products designed to sell to new consumers with mundane needs...having the individual components which will maximize your enjoyment of your system.

And I think it can be done for the sum you propose to spend.

Gaming is GPU-intensive.

CAD and video-editing are RAM/CPU-intensive.

I'm not very good with hardware...hang on for some inputs from other members/visitors .
