Old windows game

Im trying to remember an old windows game that i played as a kid. It was an rpg based in the medieval era. If i remember correctly it had a knights helmet on the front of the box

its a top-down rpg where you recruit guys and level them accordingly and you can take control of them directly if you want?

ill keep looking as I have nothing else to do but insight would be appreciated. maybe some more info?

and how long ago was it? 1985. 1990? that could be useful

If I'm posting, I probably have something horribly wrong with my computer, there's no obvious explanation for it, that's just the way it is.
