My ERUNT program folder is in C:\program files\erunt. I run it manually all the time, but I want to put a shortcut in the Startup folder so it runs a backup every time I boot. The backup should be placed in C:\windows\erdnt. The shortcut I'm pasting into the shortcut target box is: ["C:\program files\ERUNT\ERUNT.EXE %SystemRoot%\ERDNT\#Date# /noconfirmdelete"] (with quotes).
As you can see in the screenshot, I get a message saying the name in the target box is invalid. I am sure I'm just missing something simple, but I'm not seeing it. I hope I am not too embarrassed when one of you tells me what it is. Pleeeeease... what am I missing?

Thanks,
Rusty

Yes it did. Thanks. Everything after the execuatble is not in quotes. I must have had to know that at some time or another, maybe I'm developing swiss cheese holes in my brain.
Thanks for clearing that up. I hope ERUNT works as well with Vista as it did with XP.
