Registry backup procedure Registry backup

I have accidentally deleted some keys from the registry while removing some viruses and adware from my computer. It crippled my IE and does strange thing when i try to open FFDshow's configure dialog, it reports it can not find a specified procedure (and the window title is "rundll"). Maybe these two problems are connected but main thing is IE can't work well.
I have backuped my registry base some time before trying to remove adware, so the values are 5-6 months old.
Is there a way to "fill-in" the missing keys from the old .bkf file to the registry without restoring the registry completely to the old state? And there is some "RegBack" folder in Winnt/repair folder, could that help?
Thanks
Luka
P.S. I've tried with reinstalling everything on my computer: from IE, to Win. So that didn't help. During reinstallation, Windows installed older version of "Windows Installer", do you know where i could find the onlyt the newer version without the additional software?

You can try to use The Registry Repair Utility download for Windows 2000-based computers. Not sure if it will work though.

The BKF repair is a software to repair the Micrsoft backup files. it helps to scans the backup files and recovers the data to minimize the loss in the file corruption. it also supports to recover the dataset, volume, folders and files in the backup documentation. it supports to repair the unlimited backup files. the BKF repair is very reliable and effective software which can which add a new feature to the software which is partial scan. the partial scan helps the user to scan the small part from any large sized BKF file.

Download directly from Microsoft :

For Windows 2000, version 3.1 is latest.
