probelm when on-line

Okay, I'm new to this but, in desire need of help. When on-line my system keeps logging/timing me out. As for protection I have AVG and Malwarebytes. When I run these they do not find any problem. I have gotten a new internet modem and everything is plugged up correctly. Please does anyone have any suggestion on what my problem may be.
