Sorry for the belated respond. Been on vacation.
My camera is a DCR-HC32 Sony Handycam. I haven't had time to play with any more, but a friend told me to unplug all of my UBS devices except the key board and the camera and see if that solves the prob. Also I have been looking into other video editing software. It is so confusing. Do you have any suggestions on software? Any software to stay away from? Don't want to be a pro just want to edit out all fo the bad stuff. |

Do you have Windows XP? Windows XP movie maker, that comes with it, may be fine for what you need. Also are you taping the movies on the tapes or the memory stick? If tapes you need a capture card I believe

I tried doing some research for you, but this may be a function of the operating system. From what I was told you should be able to download from the tape via theusb cable, but they tested it on XP.
Have you called Sony? -------------------- Lawrence
