BleepingComputer.com: Can't uninstall lexmark x74-x75 printer

Lexmark X74-x75 printer does not work. It did previously.Tried to uninstall but will not do so. Will not respond to print commands.

I guess I don't know what you mean by "but will not do so."

You physically unplugged the printer, after powering it off?

Reboot, delete the printer (using Control Panel)...and it's gone.

I would try doing what is suggested above, but then try to reinstall the printer to see if you can get it working again.

There is no Lexmark program under Add or Remove Programs but there is an icon under Printers/Faxes.

The icon represents the printer install.

To remove a printer, general procedure is to remove the Lexmark junk installed and reflected in Add/Remove Programs...and delete the printer reflected under Printers/Faxes.

I find it hard to believe that no Lexmark software is reflected under Add/Remove...I used Lexmark printers for a long time before I decided to use a monochrome laser printer. I always manually removed all registry and file entries when I had problems.
