Just an observation

I cannot believe the progress that has been made in hand and power tools in the last 20 years
Plus the availability to the homeowner
Times used to be all you needed was a few various hammers. Now I have 6 different pneumatic nail guns

I sure wish all this stuff was available when I was starting out

I have 2 circular saws-one cored, one cordless. I LOVE the cordless because it's lighter and easier for me to handle.
The next thing on my list to purchase is a router or compound miter saw.

Oh well, mebbe I should join the what century is this? Ummm, I still use my grandfather's tools and ummm the electric ones still have cords. But then again, so does my telephone. However, I do use duck tape...does that count?

I still use hand planes and chisels, but I have gotten lazy through the years

Make sure it's a decent horsepower plunge - router
Make sure it's a sliding compound miter. I don't even use the radial arm any more

and in keepin with this thread, i really don't know the brand of chainsaw that the local handyman was Supposta be usin to cut up that big Limb, that fell whe the last storm rolled thru here....and i guess now it don't matter, cuz he kinda killed it when he dropped that huge Limb on it.... :flowers:

The question is never "What tools do you have?", it's "What tools are you buying this week?". I've got enough cordless drills with DWC (Dead Won't Charge) batteries it's crazy. Actually just bought a new 7v Snap-on driver the other week and it's slick no more need for the big drills in those tight places (like under the sink or in my case under the dash). Some of the new stuff is slick and then some of it's usless.

and the hubby don't let me near "THE TOOL's" for fear that no good will come from it....the big sissy... :inlove:

and i'm a real fan of magnetic tipped driver's,,with my stable mabel hands it's a real pleasure to be able to hang onto what i'm workin with...the also got "magnetic bowl's to put your screw's and thanges in,, it's awsome!! :flowers:
