Cleaned up too much. Now it won't start up.

In cleaning up my computer, I believe I may have deleted too much. It won't start up now saying that it could be due to software that was recently installed. I think it was due to too much cleaning. The missing data is still in the trash can file. Is there a way to restore it without XP running?

I know that I can restore the computer, but I would lose everything I have in it now and would have to rebuild everything. I's rather take the easy way out.

What tool did you use to clean up. How did you do your clean up?

I used the "Delete" key. The deleted items are still in the recycle bin.

What items did you delete?

Was it anything from the C:/Windows Directory, or the registry?

Still in recycle bin; thats good. Don't remove them with any program or other wise. If you still can start your computer. They can be brought back if needed in most cases. At this point you must be very care full what you do. Wait for other members to get back to you that are a lot smarter than me to help you. This is no time to get in a hurry to make a door stop. Just a thought hamluis and or garmanma will be good choices to read. They have both helped me a lot.
