Ok SO... My Command Prompt doesnt work. MY computer lags alot. Whenever i turn on my computer it says Would You like to run Mscarrt32.exe. Also some basic computer annalysis programs wont work. Like: (My Computer>Manager).
Please Help Thanks!!!

Do this for now.

Scan again with HijackThis and place a checkmark next to these entries:

F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe C:\WINDOWS\mscarrt32.exe
O7 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System, DisableRegedit=1
O23 - Service: Wireless Connection Configuration (wificonf) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\mscarrt32.exe

Close any other windows you might have open and click on Fix Checked.

Reboot into Safe Mode.

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here: How to see hidden files in Windows

Delete:
C:\WINDOWS\mscarrt32.exe

Reboot back into normal mode, scan again with HijackThis and post another log.

Also go to Start>Run, type in regedit>OK, and just let me know if your regisitry editor comes up then exit out of it.

Don't be surprised if mscarrt32.exe is still there. There is more to do, but I need to see if you can use regedit and if you are still out there before putting the time into taking the next step.

Okay.. Things went well. I did exactly what you told me with no problems at all, and they have seemed to work. Now when i turn on my computor, The Welcome screen doesnt glitch, and it doesnt ask me if i want to run Mscarrt32.exe anymore.
"Regedit" works fine. Just one thing, when i run my task manager it says: "Task manager has been disabled by your administrator." Weird huh? I thought i was the administrator? Oh well, thanks for the help so far, please continue with it. Thanks A lot.

OK, cool. Looks a lot better, you just have that service left over. Let's get rid of it the easy way.

I think we can fix task manager and some other system tools this malware has disabled, but I'm going to have to take baby steps since I have a tech coming out in a few minutes to replace a motherboard and CPU under warranty on my main computer.

Please download and install the program Registry Lite from here:

http://www.resplendence.com/reglite

Once it is installed, please double click on the icon that should now be on your desktop. If an icon is not there, then check under programs portion of the Start Menu.

Once it is opened, copy and paste the entire following bold text into the address field of Registrar Lite and click Go..

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\

You will be taken right to that key in the left pane, values in the right.

In the right pane, right click Wireless Connection Configuration and then choose delete.

Reboot and post another log.

Also run Silent Runners again and post a log from it.

OH WOW!!! i just fixed my task manager.. I went to start>run> "REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f" and it WORKED... how bout them apples??? :thumbsup:

Double WOW, double :thumbsup: Good job, Mike. Where did you pick that up?

Well, your log is clean. How's it running now? Have you tried running the services console?

One thing that bothers me, in Silent runners--is the empty string in default of the run key. Could you do me a favor and paste this line into RegLite's address bar:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\

What's listed in the Data column for (default)? It should be (value not set). If it's not write down exactly what is there and post it back here.

You can also delete SpyHunter while you have that key open.

Looks good to me. All I can think of you need to look into is if you are able to open your services management console now.

Also clean up your your temp and temporary internet files by following the following procedure and empty your recycle bin.

This process will clean out your Temp files and your Temporary Internet Files. Please do both steps:

Step 1:Delete Temp Files
To clean out your temp files, click on Start and then run, and type %temp% and press the ok button.

This should open up the temp directory that your machine uses. Please delete all files that are found there. If you get an error when deleting a file, skip that file and delete all the others. If you had trouble deleting a file, reboot into Safe Mode and follow this step again. You should now be able to delete all the files.

Step 2: Delete Temporary Internet Files
Now I want you to open up Internet Explorer, and click on the Tools menu and then Internet Options. At the General tab, which should be the first tab you are currently on, click on the Delete Files button and put a checkmark in Delete offline content. Then press the OK button. This may take quite a while, so do not be alarmed with how long it takes. When it is done, your Temporary Internet Files will now be deleted.
