X Prize - Homepage Romanian Team Team List The Romanian Team ARCA will launch tomorrow the Demonstrator 2B rocket. The launch was set for today but they had some problems. There was some fuel leaking, but the rocket is OK. I hope there will be no problems tomorrow because of the bad weather. Demonstrator 2B will be launched at a low altitude, below 5 km (3,2 miles). The Romanian rocket has a 100% ECOLOGIC fuel (this is unique). The byproducts are only oxygen and water. Also for the engine they are using composite material (plastic). Who will win the prize ? Who will be the first tourists in space ? -------------------- |

I've had my eye on the Mojave Desert for quite some time. I'll be glancin' over at Romanian space, now. I particularly like the eco-friendly aspect of the rocket. Very innovative, and definately something to be proud of despite the lower altitude than was hoped for.
