BleepingComputer.com: Want to do first build

Alright, so I do some gaming and my computer just isn't cutting it anymore. My last 3 computers have been bought from best buy and I hate their performance. Finally I decided to build one. So here I am
This comp is aimed at gaming and a bit of media stuff.
CPU
Mobo
RAM
Video Card
HDD
DVD Burner
Case/PSU

So that's what I have. I'm really new at this I'm just wondering if stuff comes with the cables and all that junk. Will everything fit? Do I need to buy fans? Am I leaving out anything huge?

.......and you're still not going to be doing much gaming with that videocard. Not the best PSU in that case either. Motherboard comes with cables for SATA and IDE if equipped.

What is your budget for this build? Looking at your selections I get a feeling you are budget constrained. If you are budget limited, you will get more bang with an AMD based system. Not trying to push you towards AMD, others in this forum will do that for me.

Could you recommend a good AMD CPU/Mobo? What should I be looking for with a graphics card as well? and I'm looking to spend 7-800 at most. Maybe a bit more.

It has been awhile since I built an AMD system. Like I said, others in here will come forward with suggestions as far as AMD go.

You can build a nice system for $700-800.
