![]() A Windows 7 interopability pack, known as the Windows 7 Client Platform Update, is to be released alongside Windows 7 in October of this year. This update provides down-level support for the Windows Ribbon framework and will be made available from the Microsoft Download Center and as a 'Recommended update' on Windows Update. The Windows Ribbon framework is not provided as a redistributable. ISVs need to direct users to Windows Update or the Download Center, or silently call Windows Update as part of an application setup. The Windows Ribbon framework is supported by the following platforms through the Windows 7 Client Platform Update: Windows Vista Starter SP2 X86 Home Premium SP2 X86 Business SP2 X86 Enterprise SP2 X86 Ultimate SP2 X86 Starter SP2 amd64 Home Premium SP2 amd64 Business SP2 amd64 Enterprise SP2 amd64 Ultimate SP2 amd64 Windows Server 2008 Windows Server 2008 SP2 x86 Windows Server 2008 SP2 amd64 |
