Hello all! I'll start out by saying I love: Vista, ME, and having rusty nails thrust into my eyeballs.
Here's my deal, one of my sons was playing with the PC and it started booting to "recovery" screen on reboot. The OS wont load up, and it canot start in safemode. If I try to go through the 'recovery mode' steps its an endless reboot cycle ending back up at the 'recovery mode' screen. SO, I decided to end the pain. I removed the laptop HD, put it into an enclosure and connected it to my PC via USB cable. When I browse to the drive a limited set of folders is displayed, thus, I cannot see the files I want to back up.
I'm thinking there are some user controlls or permissions on the folders that wont let me from another computer browse them.
Any thoughts?
